A ‘Daringly Dotty’ workshop was hosted by HeronBridge College on 23 July 2011, by the Independent Schools Marketing Association (ISMA). The purpose of the morning was to treat administrative staff members at ISMA schools to inspiration — in the form of poetry — presented by Ruth Everson, who teaches English at St Stithians College, and is a qualified life and leadership coach. Communication expert Des Casserley delivered a presentation on e-mail etiquette entitled ‘Dotting your ”i-s” and crossing your “t-s’”‘. Delegates were also treated to goodie bags and various demonstrations on make-up and skin care. It was a welcome opportunity for 200 professionals who work in the ‘engine rooms’ in 30 independent schools schools in Gauteng to network with each other and enjoy a morning with fellow co-workers. Said administrators from Michael Mount Waldorf School, the event was “delightful, dynamic, delicious and divine!”
