| August 18, 2014 | 0 Comments

At Evergreen Primary School, nestled among the mealie lands on Rietpan farm outside Viljoenskroon in the Free State, there is a constant buzz of activity.

The staff of seven educators are always finding new ways of enriching the 126 learners.

During the school’s 16 June Youth Day commemoration programme in the nearby township, Rammulotsi, the learners achieved gold, silver and bronze medals in the fun run, soccer tournament and the public speaking, spelling and chess challenges. The day was organised by the local hospice in collaboration with the Viljoenskroon South African Police Service and the theme of the day was ‘Social ills stop with me’.
