Independent Education bids farewell to columnist John Gardener

Independent Education would like to pay tribute to John Gardener. Over time, he has contributed many thoughtprovoking articles to the magazine, covering almost every conceivable education topic. His inimitable style and ability to examine all angles of the issue at hand thoughtfully, stirred up vigorous debate in staff rooms, classrooms and boardrooms of schools across southern Africa, and wherever in the world Independent Education reached education communities.

We thank John for the many articles he penned for the magazine, and know that he will continue to take an active interest in important debates about schools and schooling wherever he goes.
