“Bravo”, says Branson

At Dominican Convent School in Belgravia, Johannesburg, Gauteng, everyone’s still talking about Dominican’s recent three-week musical tour of the United Kingdom. Fifty-seven choristers performed concerts in between visits to castles, a London West End theatre, and Oxford University. The group also sang for Sir Richard Branson and his guests at The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 conference. At the opening of the Sherbourne Abbey Festival, the audience was swept away by the choir’s emotional tour de force. Said choir member and Grade 11 student, Edith Msimango: “I loved how we made up songs for different situations we found ourselves in. When we couldn’t find our way to some restaurant, we started singing to comfort ourselves. I loved how we all became one person through music.”
