Grace College goes to Vietnam
A group of Grace College pupils and staff recently embarked on a ‘World Challenge’ tour to Vietnam. Grace College is located in Hilton in KwaZulu-Natal, and for some, this trip overseas was a first.
Upon arrival, the team spent a few days in Hanoi to acclimatise and enjoy true Vietnamese hospitality and culture. From there, Grace College students and teachers went on an overnight train trip to Sapa for a three-day trek through breath-taking mountainous areas and terraced rice fields, and then it was on to a community in Thai Binh to do community service, such as building and gardening projects. The group also visited a preschool and thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the children. The last few days were spent in Halong Bay for some well-deserved rest and recuperation. This tour was described as a life-changing adventure and an experience of a lifetime.
