Eight students from the International School of Cape Town (ISCT) recently received prestigious awards to acknowledge their outstanding performance in the 2011 Cambridge examination sessions.

The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards programme celebrates the success of students taking Cambridge examinations in over 40 countries around the world. The learner awards programme is part of the Cambridge Assessment Group, a not-for-profit organisation and a department of the University of Cambridge dedicated to the mission of providing excellence in education.

The top-performing students received their Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards at a school ceremony in August. Speaking on the occasion, Mark Barber, CIE senior schools development manager, said: “The results are a reflection of the enormous talent in South Africa, not only amongst students but also within the teaching profession.”
