Let there be more LEGO

| March 9, 2016 | 0 Comments

Shock, horror! The world may run out of LEGO! The crisis hit in December, when the Danish toymaker said it could no longer keep up with demand.

LEGO spokesperson, Roar Trangbaek, said the American market was safe, but the famous bricks would not be in many European children’s Christmas stockings.

LEGO has soared in popularity since the 2014 release of the film The LEGO Movie. The LEGO Company made 60 million LEGO pieces in 2015.

LEGO, still owned by original creators the Kirk Kristiansen family, is building new factories in Mexico, Hungary and Denmark to catch up with demand.
