Squash success for Michaelhouse

| September 4, 2013 | 0 Comments

After competing at the South African (SA) Schools’ Inter-Provincial Squash Tournament, Michaelhouse’s Luke Stevens and Kenyon Smith have been named in the Top Ten U19 boys’ team that will tour Canada and the USA in December this year.

Stevens won the KwaZulu-Natal pre-season squash tournament, thus starting the season ranked as No. 1 in the province. He has consistently been ranked in the top 10 nationally. Smith was named SA U19 No. 9. At U16 level, Stevens catapulted his SA rankings from outside the top 20 to No. 2 at the end of the 2012 season.

Stevens and Smith have been mentored by Andrew Brown, who represented Midlands squash provincially at adult level.
