| September 4, 2013 | 0 Comments

Biomimicry (a design discipline that seeks sustainable solutions by emulating nature’s timetested patterns and strategies) was introduced to the St Alban’s College curriculum in 2011, under the leadership of Claire Weerepas. She recently attended the annual biomimicry Educators’ Conference at Harvard University, Boston, USA. Biomimicry 3.8, the global governing organisation, asked the worldwide biomimicry community for nominations in four categories. In the category Best of Biomimicry in Formal Education Kindergarten to Grade 12, Weerepas was awarded the Top Educator.

In essence, this means that St Alban’s College has the most highly regarded biomimicry education programme in formal education in the world today!
